The painting hung in the living room, a testament to their truce. By the time spring arrived, the cat and the dog had become an inseparable duo.

They weren’t friends in the traditional sense—Velvet still rolled her eyes at Moose’s antics, and Moose still wished Velvet would lighten up. But they had found a balance, a rhythm that worked for them.

And so, the cat and the dog continued their days, not as rivals, but as partners in their own peculiar dance. Their world was imperfect, but it was theirs, and that was enough.
