Success of inspiration is never quite what you think.

Waiting for its arrival is an endeavor far too meek.

Pencil it in to match even the mundane

for doing without only leads to your brightest sun slain.

The pile of gold gets bigger when you dig for it every day.

It will never run out, despite what some may say.

Time’s breadth in front of you is magnificent

but only when used with purpose and significance.

Extraordinary moments are a luxury you cannot afford,

or so says the King of Swords.

Maybe who you are has been laid bare for the world

to throw through ashy air, fumble, and uncurl.

Jagged rocks are the trail out to the freshness of green.

Being naked is the only way for a new path to be seen.

Taking in that first breath is no simple feat

but doing so lays the groundwork for refusal to retreat.

Darkness, in retrospect, may turn to gold

and the scars will be worth it tenfold.

What you needed was the messiness of being torn,

or so says the Ten of Swords.

In the shape of infinity, you’ll never be beaten down.

Flux and flow are artistry abound.

Your humanity is not an anomaly

and your perfect escapism is not a commodity.

Celebration lies underneath you in the present.

It doesn’t matter if what lies ahead of you is heaven.

Smell the roses as you walk through the field in bloom,

and maybe then the thorns won’t feel like such doom.

Living in the future won’t build your collectibles,

or so says the Two of Pentacles.

Sure, his world could find a home under your roof.

Never mind the codependency you’d pretend was aloof.

Maybe the world could start to sing back your rhythm.

But those dreams will first lead you to delirium.

The doors marked six months, a year, a decade

only ensure that your happiness will finally fade.

Your dreams are wonderful when you watch them through a window

but detrimental to gold’s shape when you use them as your pillow.

Walking in what doesn’t exist yet is not the way up,

or so says the Seven of Cups.

Yes, the past has shown you the dark sides of a crown

that chased and bit you like the bark of a hound.

Lessons are never learned until they’re seen in the mirror.

Time heals wounds, and in it your enemies are clearer.

Take that memory and move it forward.

Don’t let it exclusively become a horror.

Trust you understand the balance required

to reclaim the joy that you’ve always desired.

Soon the night will lead you to the most beautiful dawn,

or so says the King of Wands.
