A distant shore,
A cobbled street.
Ancient stones beneath the soles.
Souls wander winding roads
Forked but on the same path.
***
Galician smells of petricor and Pulpo Gallega
Kiss the nose like a tender lover suffusing the senses.
**
Waxing gibbous lights the Way,
And the footfalls follow the dimmed yellow directions.
**
The arrows are a Pilgrim’s compass,
And the heart is our true north.
**
We walk weary but wise with the knowing:
Each step we do not walk alone.
Our family walks among us
With intention towards the same destination.
**
The Camino es mi casa,
And it is every Pilgrim’s home.
