To the narrassist
They have all left your sandbox
Years ago
No one wishes to play your game
Any longer
They have all deserted you
As you cry yourself the victim
They have left your sandbox
You stopped sharing your toys
Long ago
You teased them to join you
And then demand they play
By your rules
Never giving in to theirs
You're vile and vindictive
No one wishes you around
Your sandbox is just a barren wasteland
Of wishful memories
You partook in
Making your little world "perfect"
You became your own martyr
The villain who cried victim
The evil who thought themselves hero
You are not who you say you are
You never were
And you never will be

The demon shoes
Flames burn bright and slow
As she slips from the cursed shoes
From long forgotten pasts
Shadowed spirits reach out to her
Grasping at her arms
Flames unyielding around her
Yet they do not burn
Only surrounding her
In their protest to remain
She slides the skirts of her dress
Up higher to avoid tearing them
As she pushes one heel
From her foot
Releasing her toes free
Then slowly shifting her legs
To do the same to the next
The flames engulf her faintly again
As she stands up and strolls
Across the room
Setting the shoes into their chest
Locking them away
Once again
The candle flames burn bright
As she leans back in her chair
Fixing her skirts to be as they once were

Ragdoll Luster
Just the ragdoll
Alone on the shelf
Same old dust bunny
To keep me company
No one ever around
When she might be in need
But always there
When they reach for her
Lonely little
Ragity old thing
Fabric old and withered
Never to be repaired
She once was shiny
Brand new
Held tight
Held close
Feared to be lost
Now she has dulled
Greyed with time
The allure and luster
gone with the time
No longer wanted
No longer needed
She sits quietly
With the dust bunny
By her side
Alone in the world
Nothing to gain
Forever lost
To those who remained

Who am I?
Who am I?
I’m just nobody
Just a being in a body
Just a thing to be set aside
I am worthless
I am worn beyond the time
The tides wash me away
Like I am driftwood set astray
The old ragged doll
Left behind in the sandbox
Alone and old;
frozen from the cold
I am not needed
Forgotten about forever
Always to be at call for your time
Unwanted until needed
But not necessary
Used in every way possible
Until I say no
Then they snarl and growl
Rear their ugly heads
Slash with sharp and vile tongues
Words once unsaid
Being ripped apart to my very core
Until there is nothing more
Never ceasing; never ending
Forevermore

Unwanted
Unwanted
Pushed away
Not needed any more
The old withered ragdoll
Tossed in the dried-up crumbling sandbox
Caked with dirt and grime
Kicked aside like nothing
Never mind the old shelf
She used to be placed up on
She has been left in the play yard
Never to be seen
Lost and to be forgotten
Never to be needed again
Days
Months
Years
Pass as she lays withering in the rain
The sadness taking over her
Slowly growing to a nothingness
Deep inside her core
Left unwanted
Evermore

Mad Broken Mind
She stands alone in the lonely fields
The distance far and cold
The wind blowing at her hair
As she looks upon the barn
Dark, black and cold
As the mist thickly rolls in
Slowly moving along the cold snow
Freshly fallen and icy cold
Her heart saddened
She feels no chill
That takes hold down to her bones
Gripping her deep down to her core
She stares off in the distance
Glaring at the barn
Wondering just where it all went wrong
Her heart broken
Her mind gone mad
She stands alone in the lonely fields
Staring through the misty nothing

The fortress of her mind
She lays back upon the sofa
Of her hidden away place
Her private latibule fortress
Safe and secure in her mind
A hiding place to run to
When she needs to slip away
Her broken mind inside
Where she wishes to stay and play
Shattered glass thrown about
From fits of anger
She could not hold within any longer
Screams of the past
Echo the walls
She lays back upon the sofa
Playing her fingers along the floor
With diamond tears
From pains before
Scattered about her so
The fireplace crackles softly
The only sense of warmth
As she closes her eyes to dream
Of finally finding peace

All she knows
She buries under the covers
Sorry for her ignorance
Alone in her mind now
Thoughts to nag at herself
Forgetfulness on some things
A failure in her life
Nothing will be changed
No matter how hard she tries
A failure is all she is
All she ever has been
All she ever will be
No matter how hard she tries
She is supposed to be a healer
Knowing all somehow
Yet, she fails at that evermore
Cannot even fix herself anymore
She hides and wonders if she will ever
change for the better

The blank page
Sitting before a blank page
Nothing comes to mind.
Tears earlier in the day
Nothing came to mind.
Shadows floating past
Taunting her mind,
Still she sits before the page
Tracking back her mind.
The page stares back at her,
Idly taunting her to stroke it.
The pen sits still as she thinks
Yet nothing comes to mind.
Yet nothing, comes to mind.

The wild sapling
She was a sapling
Young a free
Not a care in the woods
Soon to grow beyond the forest floor
Before long days
Rains and winds
Becoming wild before too long
Years breaking her in time
Splits in two never breaking her stride
From wild thundering lightning strikes
Sending winds whipping about
She started as a sapling
Yet grew to a beautiful forest
From becoming wild and free

<Untitled 25>
In the velvet darkness
She stalks through the halls
Mirrors lining her path
Reflecting the dim flicker of candlelight
Her only way to see by.
She comes to the chambers
The door left ajar behind her
As she enters silently
Approaching carefully
The stand holding the book
Holding guardian of memories past
Flipping through pages
Written centuries ago
Leaving a delicate reminder
of spells & secrets
Left forgotten to those
Once were now gone forever more
She slips a silver locket from her pocket
placing the blackest of roses
After wrapping such locket
Of ages past
Gently upon the open pages of the book and closes it shut
To be forgotten just as the others once before

Stay
She will never say it out loud.
She will always put others needs
Before her very own.
Caring, loving, understanding
Always she tries to be.
She will lay awake
Endless and sleepless nights;
Alone in her thoughts
Alone in her pain.
Wishing she knew the words
To send things away.
Endless restless nights
Until they suddenly become dawn
Wishing for someone to hear her cry
Deep within her own soul
As she tends to them all.
She will never say it out loud
No matter how much
she screams it inside.
She will always be the one
To remain helping others
She wishes she knew the words
To fix it all.
She will shed the silent tears forevermore;
Awake and alone
She shall feel doomed to be
Wishing someone will
But she will never say the word
Stay

Failure
Alone in thoughts
Mind reeling fast
Nothing to stop it
Nothing to distract her
Wanting to crawl
Out from her own skin
Running away
Is all she can think about
Stuck in a forever wheel
Going no where fast
Spinning in circles
She is a failure to all
She crosses paths with
Never able to help
Never able to heal
She will forever be cursed
To walk the world alone
No one will ever want her
Because she is cursed so
Forever doomed to be alone
She will never say stay
When she really needs it
Alone to cry each night
In her room and gloom
Her broken heart
She wears upon her sleeve
Wanting to help
Yet failing them all
At the same time
Cursed in another life
To walk alone
The failure that she is
meant to become
1.30.2020
The silent forest
The silence of the forest
Can be both
Tranquil and deafening
all at the same time
Peaceful sounds that sooth
Rustle of leaves as the wind
Blows gently through their branches
Deafening silence because one is alone
Church bells echo
As they chime the hour
Each long lonely chime
Until silent once again
Birds chirping their laments
To one another
Or warnings to back away
Maybe the babble of a frozen brook
Under your feet as you walk along
Things are different
When winter arrives
Silent travels further than it did
once before

Soar Little Butterfly
A Caterpillar turned butterfly
Without anyone noticing
She grew alone and quiet
Shyed away to words of hate
Forgetting a dream
She longed so hard
Turned to butterfly
Beautiful to their eyes
Forget such words told before
They mean nothing, nothing more
Soar high little flutterby
And show the world
Just how beautiful you truly are

<Untitled 26>
She speaks telepathically
As she lays awake in their bed
Awaiting her heart to return home
Heart Messages
Sent out to her beloved
As night draws further on
She waits bathed in moonlight
As a response she feels comes
He speaks telepathically back
A Midnight Calm washes over her
When soon telepathically
Becomes real arms
Wrapping her close to home
2.20.2020
<Untitled 27>
Every other sound
Drown
Drown
Drown
By the sound
Sound
Sound
Of the water
Falling and babbling
Along its path
The leaf rustler
Has long since gone
Months ago from when it came
Been and gone
Not a trace remains
From whence it came

<Untitled 28>
Swans mate for life
I am no swan
I am no longer even a pearl
Dull, Faded and crushed
Beyond all repair
I am beyond damaged
Hanging on by a thread
The fates viciously threw
Down at me
Without a care in the world
To what would happen to me
No longer recognized by myself
Nevermind being told who
I should be
I am not their ideal person
My soul is not theirs
It never was
I try to fight to be me again
Always the struggle
To find my way out
Being told I am wrong
To be who I am
Was never in my cards
The fates left me to wither alone
They stand and watch silently by
I am not that swam you seeked
I was never theirs
I belonged to Avalon
The daughters of her
I am not the swan
I was never meant to be such
I used to be the pearl
But I have been crushed
Beyond all repair

<Untitled 29>
He brings her song to life;
A song she never thought
Could ever be heard again.
melodies flowing once more
From deep within her soul,
With every delicate caress
Kisses that bring out
Harmonizing sighs she had forgotten.
She once thought all was lost;
This little pearl was crushed
Until his chords played to her
Calling to her soul.
Their souls meeting in song
Harmonizing melodies belonging to them
Now they belong to each other;
Their souls are one.
Dancing to their true song
Under moonlight skies
Twinkling stars joining with
dancing fireflies around them
The night sky belongs to them
As he brings her song to life for them
2.27.2020
<Untitled 30>
She who lays in wait
Never allowing life to pass her by
Always searching
For the brighter side.
Her eyes breath life
To weary souls.
Brightening days
With simple, caring words.
She is a blessing
To those who meet her passing by
A beautiful butterfly
Set free to the world
Teaching others
How to be as free as she

His gypsy dancer
She floats about the room
Dancing as though on air.
Eyes burning with fiery passion
Gypsy fluid movements
In each twirl of her steps.
His fingers caressing piano keys
Without ever looking at the ivories
His eyes never leaving the sight
Of his beloved encanto;
Mesmerizing her every move.
Long blonde tresses
Bounce upon her shoulders,
As he catches faint glimpses lower
When her skirts billow about her body.
Candlelight casting shadows
That make her beautiful tresses,
Glow brighter in the darkness.
Beautiful evening shared
Between only these two lovers.
Golden skirts twirling with her
Encompassing this creature of his.
His beautiful queen transformed into gypsy dancer by simple notes
his fingers glide along,
Caressing ivories.
She dances her way about the room
Until he finally pauses in his playing
Together they join
Twirling around the room
Wrapping arms around the other
As the world disappears for them

Stitch my soul
stitch my soul with
your soft words,
your sensual caresses,
and your sweet kisses.
As we lay under stars
in soft, lush grass
giggling softly
in each other's arms.
Shooting stars
launching a dream
as we whisper wishes
into the wild blue.
Continued dreams
of our unfinished manuscript
We leave nothing
left behind.
You stitch my soul
with your soft words
together with yours.

Orchid Dreams
Ocean Fire
Deep within
Our kiss
On starry nights
As we stroll along
Quiet sandy beaches
Waves crashing
While we share
A warm fire
Lost in our world
Sweet scent
Of orchid dreams
Drift along
As we lay upon pillows
Under starry skies
Drifting to sleep
To waves crashing
In each other's arms.
3.29.2020
Sweet apron strings
She gathers ingredients
Tying up Apron strings
Around her slender waist
She hums softly
As she works away
Mixing bowls
Piled high
She wipes away
At her forehead
Dirty dishes
Set beside the sink
She slides pans
Inside an oven
Cleaning while she waits
Still time before ready,
She dances as she hums more
Sweet treats bake
Everything cleaned up
She smirks
When she imagines
The look on her beloved's face
As he enjoys
The sweetest tastes
Upon his lips

Wild Sunrises
Climbing Wild Sunrises
Soaring starry skies
A beautiful world
That surrounds us
Brilliant colors
Cast amber golden glows
Around us as we kiss
Goddess of moonlight
Reflects against
Peaceful stilled waters
We chase day turned night
Until the day returns again
Arm in arm
We lay under stars
Waiting to climb wild sunrises
Once more

Dragonfly Dreams
Classic humidity
Found in the late summer
Sunshine bright
As the nests made
Months before
Now hatch
Tiny things crawl out
Now grown larger
As they dance around
Zipping and darting
The hum of iridescent wings
Fly past my ears
As I stand amidst them
Hundreds of dragonflies
Dancing around me
Bring a sense of excitement
One with nature
In this very moment
This is what dragonfly dreams
Are made of
5.11.2020
Behind lupine eyes
Mesmerizing,
Captivating.
One cannot help,
But to be lost
In such eyes.
Beautiful,
serene.
Such tranquility
To be held
Behind lupine eyes.
Bright,
crystalline hues
Sending off a sense of calm
A vast sea held inside.
Such richness,
If one is allowed
Such privileges
To have these gaze upon them.
One wishes for allowance
To such sweet surrender
To the lupine eyes
5.11.2020
The note
He came home
Late in the evening
Their house silent
But the sounds of the evening
Upon their side table,
A note beside a glass
Of his favorite drink:
'Beloved,
Ready for the evening
Then come meet me
Midnight at the creek
- with love'
The note read.
She waited by the creek
Blanket laid out
Picnic spread out for them
Lanterns glowed softly
As stars shone brightly
There she stood
Like a passion's song
The palest of dresses
Flowing in a soft breeze
The moonlight shimmering
Upon her skin
He stood in the trees
Watching her dancing
While she waited
Then took his place,
Embracing her in his arms
Leading her about the grass
There they danced
Til the morning came
And they slumbered
wrapped in blankets,
Watching the sunrise
Their midnight by the creek.
5.11.2020
The fortune
The fire roars
Bright and tall
The fortune teller smiles
As she leans in close
Whispering in ears
The jingle of gold coins
Upon a wooden table
Payment for the future
Young eyes reflect
Candlelight flickers
As one leans closer still
Hanging on every word spoken
Will what is said
Come to pass?
She has paid
She will hope
As the fortune teller smiles
Watching a glimmer of hope
Walking away
5.14.2020
Hopeless
If I fall
Will you catch me?
Will you let me lay there and crumble?
If I feel helpless inside
Will you stand there and sigh?
The hopelessness inside
Consuming me
Overwhelming me to the core
No matter the words shared
I feel alone to the lore
If I fall
Will you be there?
To pick up the broken pieces
The hopeless feelings
To be glued back together
With words of kindness
Not despair?
Will it even help?
Would it even begin
To heal a glimmer of part?
So as to not come apart?
If I fall
Will anyone truly care?
Lend a hand to help
Or just stand there and stare?
Mocking in their minds
As they have always done
There in lays the hopelessness
The despair
They stand there
But are they really there?

Forest Dancing
With in the depths of the woods
The trees breath life
At every bend
Flowers spring forth
Under leaves decay
Death from fall
Springs life anew
When warmth and sun return
Breezes play upon branches so
Sway gently the nests of birds
Songs fill the air
As scents rise up
The forest dances
As life is brought forth
