The Breatharian Beast

Poetry

By Bella FulkPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Dim and dark drops of desire,

Glitter up in the frothing gyre.

I watch the colors combust and implode,

I wonder when these salt grains will erode.

Piercing perverted crystallization,

Stuck in a philosopher's immortal quotation.

What of these breatharian beast that give delight,

And of which rancid reapers that they smite.

These immortal ghost they hold limp in the ether,

Ostracizing the ulcered unbeliever.

These mighty beast like the eyes of forgotten summers,

Like lurid, blinking holograms flashing colors.

And like firing nerve cells of a feral animal,

They create a lattice work of constellations distant and intangible.

The ancient navigational system burned into the flesh of the void,

So which merchants and monks' voyages could not be destroyed.

They are but romantics when it comes to the veil of ebony,

But towards the marbled moon they are seducers filled with ecstasy.

These shriveled wave induced corpses,

Bearing their atomic imprint; shadows remorseless.

Their tendrils kiss out sodden cheeks,
