humour 1: sanguine: infancy (air)

spring blood on the run

vitality through fast growth

floats in humid air

*

humour 2: choleric: youth (fire)

summer campfire

fluids move in the body

yellow bile outcry

*

humour 3: melancholic: adulthood (earth)

autumn earth dyin'

wistful farewell drum songs

black bile spleen heard low

*

humour 4: phlegmatic: old age (water)

brain and lungs slow down

winter produces ice floes

phlegm stability

About the Creator

Mescaline Brisset

if it doesn't come bursting out of you

in spite of everything,

don't do it.

unless it comes unasked out of your

heart and your mind and your mouth

and your gut,

don't do it.
