My lucky gold chain
My pops gave it to me
Before he went away
I have to wear it everyday
It's my good luck charm
I guess it reminds me of him
Who he used to be
It feels like he's here with me
When I get into tough situations
Or have a terrible day
The thought of his presence makes everything better
After I link up my chain
I quickly run back downstairs
Give my mom a big kiss on the cheek
Now it's time to head out
Time to head out and get this day started
Let's go and get after it
