The beauty of the sunset
I long for the endless evening colors

This is my happy place
The sun descends into the sea
A brilliant canvas for all to see
The sky is painted hues of gold
As the day's last story is told
The clouds are tinged with pink and red
As the sun slips below the horizon's bed
A final burst of light, a brilliant flare
Before the darkness settles in the air
The world is hushed, the colors fade
As the sun's final rays begin to cascade
But in this moment, there's a peaceful calm
A reminder that beauty can be found in the balm
Of nature's great and wondrous art
A sunset that can soothe the heart
And though the day may end in night
The sunset reminds us of life's great light.
