Oh, woe is me, a lonely sock,

Lost in the dryer's abyssal shock.

My mate has vanished, who knows where,

Leaving me unmatched, a mismatched pair.

I tumble round with towels and sheets,

But find no comfort, oh, the defeats!

Will I forever be alone,

A single sock upon its throne?
