The Awakening (Part One)

Whatever happened to the world where we were supposed to be treated as equals.

Instead the government lies, they pick and choose who to treat as people.

Telling us we got a voice and we got free will.

But yet we comply with everything they try to instill.

Mind numbing programs and the music we listen to, just another way to brain wash us to do what they want us to do.

Taxing us so much money just to fund their wars.

Money hungry vultures, that’s all they’re good for.

Anti-bully movement, but we the biggest bully of them all.

Invading other countries, stealing from them, call it the rise before the fall.

Open your eyes and realize the truth of life.

But understand becoming woke ain’t something that happens over night.

Something like hope and something like faith, we call it religion.

So we created a god to judge where we been and judge us on all our sinnin.

But we stole our god from cultures of the past, and made it into our own.

Same concept, different image, I still call it a clone.

Got churches drawing you in trying to save your soul.

With a man made book, call it the Bible, who really in control?

Telling us to live a certain way and we’ll make it to heaven.

But then ask us to pay to grow their business, so now I’m starting to question.

Is it real or is it fake, it feels like another scam.

So now I pray to the universe to help me become who I am.

Open your eyes and realize the truth of life.

But understand becoming woke ain’t something that happens over night.

Understand life is so much more complex than we make it seem.

So instead of being woke, we stay sleep, it’s all just a dream.

They say everything happens for a reason, that’s one thing I believe.

We gotta find our path, find our souls, to see what we can achieve.

Wise person once said we live in a box we got to break through for us to see.

The real meaning of life, why we’re here, and who we’ll be.

Fight for what we want and bring good in life.

We got to push through the darkness just to bring out our brightest light.

So open your eyes and realize the truth of life.
