The Ashes of Home: A House Fire Poem

The flames are fierce, the smoke is thick,

The house is burning, brick by brick.

The fire rages, consuming all,

The heat intense, the flames so tall.

The windows shatter, the roof caves in,

The fire department, where have they been?

The family runs, their lives in doubt,

The flames engulfing all throughout.

The memories lost, the history gone,

The possessions charred, it feels so wrong.

The house, once a home, now just a shell,

The fire's destruction, a living hell.

The flames now smolder, the smoke clears,

The aftermath of a house full of tears.

The loss of a home, a devastating blow,

But the family will rebuild, that much we know.

They'll start anew, they'll rise again,

From the ashes, a new home begins.

The fire may have destroyed their past,

But their future is bright, and it will last.
