The Artist & His Canvas

I had this fantasy where you and I were painting this picture and it’s value was priceless

You were art crafted so define my mind was restless

I was entitled to a title only to be untitled because my art was not to your liking

Yet my mind is pining, lying against a canvas that’s now blank

Now who's there to thank?

For a painting that was only meditated

Unvalued enough so the artist and it’s canvas segregated

But, does a masterpiece really go undone

When it’s the details that redefine a person’s perceptions

But the artist gave up his fantasy

Because he no longer wanted the canvas that was me.
