The Art of Leaping

7.25.23

Top Story - July 2023

It was an art form

Forgetting and letting go

Releasing the realities

Into the universe,

To focus simply upon what was next

And what would come,

Instead of running back

To a world that created today,

A world we chose to hide,

For reasons unspoken of,

A shelter we created

For ourselves from questions

Of choice and error,

We all had the freedom

To begin again,

But only a few had the talent

To design where they would go,

Instead of repeating the same void

Over and over-

They called it insanity

Repeating the same

And expecting different-

But perhaps it was memory loss

An erasure of pain

That lead us to never learn,

And only those that had made the leap

Had learned to work with

What they were given-

Sharing their art with the world

As they leapt off

From the same starting point

With an already heavy heart.
