The Architecture of Carrying

A small creature, a lifetime of things unseen

We admire the shell

without asking

what shaped it.

The lines.

The scars.

The places where time

left its fingerprints.

A snail carries its history

without hiding it.

Perhaps we do too.

Every mark,

every quiet change,

every piece we thought we lost,

became part of the person

someone else calls whole.

Nothing is untouched.

Only carefully carried.
