but what died, didn't stay dead

instead it lingered around

turning selective words blood red

attempting to astound

proclaiming self proclivity

with an unrelenting stench

preaching about community

and the loss of common sense

both the pot and the kettle

masquerading as gourmet

neither cook, not a little

they like it better that way

with the ability to fit in

and the arrogance of a pro

their expertise, pointing out sin

stirring up till it grows

into something much bigger

something out of control

pointing out every trigger

until it’s all been exposed

so when something dies, leave it buried

it never comes back the same

although the outcome can vary

it will never take the blame
