The angels see me

They bless me with skills from pain

The best skill to have

To grab some paper

Channel it into the pen

Make it worthwhile

Angels bring meaning

When all seems so meaningless

Perhaps it’s just fate

Fate that I write down

All of my pain and anger

Because it’s the truth

The angels hate lies

So, I try to be honest

But only the pen

Only the pen speaks truth

For me, it’s my only way

Honesty is hard

But the angels know

They know all about my truth

That I lock away

As I am a man

Crying just feels so very wrong

It’s embarrassing

Emotions are hard

But the angels understand

They know who I am

Just a man who’s sad

Embarrassed to admit it

But still just trying

When I saw you God

My life was falling apart

You brought me back up

To see sins as death

To see how my life can be

To see to be good

I try, I do try

But all the time I just bleed

Then I have to clean

Clean it and pretend

Pretend its not all a lie

My love, life and faith

Finding faith again

Many see me as a fool

A fool for the clouds

But with you here now

Now my pens keep running dry

Not enough pages

The angels see all

The angels see through your tongue

The angels know all

Never be a lie

For the angels know the truth

Constructed for you

Life isn't just a test

Life's a joyous remedy

Life is also hard

Easy is boring

Easy has no fulfilment

Easy is a lie

overcoming pain

overcoming the riddles

overcoming life

The test always hard

Designed for maximin joy

But Pain always there

Without seeds of pain

There just wouldn't be any joy

So, accept bruises

Remember that day

The day I said nothing’s true

I knew, just a lie

There is meaning

Of which I will be seeking

Maybe forever
