Close your eyes and talk to God.

I have bathed in the blood of my own sorrow for centuries, long before my earthly body inhabited the world.

I have healed the wounds in my memory with magick words and the tears of my ancestors.

I have bowed to the altar of fire and begged for cleansing.

I have whispered into the ear of God the prophecy of my own life.

I have built, stone by stone, the castle that keeps me safe.

I have ripped out the tongue of the singing snake and showed it to him.

Now I bellow the song of the serpent.

Now you blister from the flames of my sacred altar.

And now, I bloom. I flourish.

I become eternal.
