From the early dawn of trade and barter
Money has been the ultimate starter
The power to buy, the power to sell
Money talks, and it speaks so well
The world moves forward, driven by need
A life of luxury, a life to feed
From simple pleasures to grander goals
Money is the means, to achieve our roles
The struggle for wealth, the battle to gain
Money can ease, or cause such pain
A world of winners, a world of loss
Money can make, or it can be the cross
From the glittering lights of the city
To the homes of the wealthy and witty
Money talks, it can buy it all
A life of ease, or a lonely call
A glint of gold, a rustle of green
