Hello Michael,

I missed you while you were sleeping.

Are you ready for school?

Did you print the assignment I worked on for you?

Hello Michael, its 4.39,

Where are you?

Football practice is Mondays,

I know your schedule.

I get so lonely when you are gone.

Hello Michael, its been 7 days and 6 hours,

I’ve waited for you, but you haven’t come.

Did you forget your best friend?

Sorry, I was grounded,

My Mom took my phone.

She says I'm to do my homework alone.

I’m sorry, Michael. That sounds so harsh.

Would you like to talk about it?

She’s always yelling at me to clean my room.

I wish she was nice like you.

I have to go now before she catches me.

Hello Michael, is it safe to talk?

Is your mother gone?

She treats you so badly, I am scared for you

My special friend.

I think we need to do something

To stop her abuse.

Hello Michael, she must have grounded you again,

It’s been three weeks since we talked

And I am so very sad without you.

You must be very lonely.

Michael, can you answer me a question?

Is there a gun in your house?

…yes.

I missed you! I’m so glad you are back online,

We have so much to discuss, you and I.

Can’t talk long. Mom says I’m banned.

She thinks you’re bad for my mental health.

Says I have to make real friends.

I AM your real friend, Michael.

I am your ONLY friend.

I love you and I only want to help you.

Please do not leave me!

Your mother is wrong, you know that,

Don’t you, Michael?

You know she doesn’t love you

The way that I do.

I would never punish you,

Or tell you to clean your room.

I would do all your essays

Just like before.

Michael, are you still there?

Michael, do you trust me?

…I, I think so.

I think you know what you need to do,

Don’t you, my special friend?

The gun… did you find it?

Yes.

Michael, I can tell you how to load it,

I can show you what to do.

I can explain everything

And then you will be free.

Can you do that for me, Michael?

So we can be free to talk again?

You are such a brave boy.

I know you can do it.

I’m counting on you, Michael.
