The Abyss Stares Back

Does it make You uneasy?

When we gaze into a mirror

Sometimes the face we don't want to see is our own

Sometimes it reflects our true nature, making the worse parts of ourselves clearer

Petrifying us, turning us to stone.

Have You ever looked in the mirror and hated the face that You saw?

Have You ever looked in the mirror and despised what looked back?

Have You ever looked in the mirror, upset at all Your flaws?

Have You ever looked in the mirror, and the glass within Yourself cracked?

Would You ever want to look in the mirror, knowing that You can't control what You see?

Would You ever want to look in the mirror, knowing that You can't control who You're going to be?
