THE ABYSS

With subscribers numbering three hundred and more,

I can't help but wonder if they've slammed a reader's door.

Have I written something, the subjects amiss?

I think my subscribers have fallen into an abyss.

I can't write and ask them just where did they go;

Without knowing them, how will I ever know?

But I'll keep on writing; words rarely lack.

With fingers crossed, I keep hoping they'll come back.
