That's How I Healed Infertility

I hope, it will be helpful to those who read it

This personal story is nothing less than a triumph,

and I love telling it, again and again.

I have two cherubic kids now,

but there was a time when it felt almost impossible.

I had hypothyroidism, PCOS,

a body pushed to its limits by cockroach allergy,

and I was working in a stressful chemical laboratory.

When the doctor suggested metformin,

to control blood glucose,

I asked for something more sustainable.

He told me to lose five kilograms.

I liked that solution.

I tried the apartment gym,

but the stale, scented air did not feel right.

I thought of the swimming pool in the apartment,

but people entered it wearing sunscreen,

I knew my body would protest.

So, I asked myself,

what can I do to bring my health back?

My conscience told,

ride your purple bicycle,

carry your DSLR camera,

go around the neighborhood,

notice flora/ fauna,

soak in sunlight, breathe in fresh air,

take pictures,

journal your health signals,

paint to de-stress

keep avoiding chemicals.

Do this, until you achieve your goal.

I did exactly that,

my health slowly restored enough,

to achieve hormonal balance.

Then came the kids,

one after another.

That is why I tell all women,

going through infertility,

healing can come from nature time,

and listening to your own body.
