That’s the name of the

My pink favorite from the collection

Featuring everyone’s favorite bouquet

Andromedan lilies en pointe with the

So many Venusian angiosperms stippled stuck

Eternally manèges in their apologetic wrapping

Living it over again as if to be glued so

So retrospectively piqué

But not forever, I imagine

Because I stopped using varnish after only

Jasper

For Kasey, the prototype of the tableau

Still tacked to my own wall the

Varnish discolored the pastels

And it smudged the rabbit’s ink

Still I liked it too much to part with for Kasey

I’ll never part with most of these

Wish I kept my favorite for the

Instead of selling it to you

For an elusive thirty bucks

On only the one day you knew me

Oh well

It was September and I was lacking the

comfort.

It’s fine if I wasn’t paid

If that’s what happened

I keep circling desperate around and back
