Thank You, Mr. Grim

Thank you Mr. Grim, I'm sorry you've had to walk so far.

Thank You, Mr. Grim

When the day nears its end,

and I have no where to go‐

no where left to run...

and no where left to hide‐

I don't dare close my eyes

until, I pray that they may stay in that state.

I can't run away forever,

nor can I hide from eternity‐

I only choose slumber

that I may call for Mr. Grim-

hoping he finally shows to take me.

For I have read enough of this story...

I wish to close this chapter

and not open another-

to burn each and every of these pages

that I may simply join history.

Mr. Grim‐

Your hands are clean‐

for it was not you, but me‐

who took me.

By the command of Despair,

I will breathe my last‐

for I am far, too far...

past any point that may hold any hope that this too shall pass.

Thank you Mr. Grim,

for at last you have come to take me‐

I'm sorry...

I've made you walk so far.

About the Creator

JM

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
