Tell Me.

Tell me what it’s like to forgive and to forget, And I’ll tell you what it’s like to forgive and forgive and forgive, but never, ever be able to forget.

Tell me what it’s like to be a rainbow and have all of your colors shine so brightly,

And I’ll tell you what it’s like to be a hurricane, constantly drowning everything you love in your own pain.

Tell me what it’s like to be the light at the end of the tunnel,

And I’ll tell you what it’s like to be the tunnel that never ends.

Tell me what it’s like to look into his eyes and see love,

And I’ll tell you what it’s like to look into my eyes and see his instead.

Tell me what it’s like to laugh through your tears,

And I’ll tell you what it’s like to not be able to cry for an entire year.

Tell me what it’s like to have someone make love to you,

And I’ll tell you what it’s like to be abused.

Tell me what it’s like to forgive and to forget,

And I’ll tell you what it’s like to forgive and forgive and forgive, but never, ever be able to forget.
