Football scores air on the set.

Back in the day, the TV turned to games

On black and white and we couldn’t see yet.

The smeared picture gave us inagesof lames.

The bums on the screen didn’t deter dinner.

We looked at the snowy field.

We didn’t care what team was the winner.

They kept playing, though, refusing to yield.

We enjoyed our cider and played cards.

The bums lost that game in a bad way.

They were trounced but we enjoy shards

Of pumpkin pie during our stay.

The game never broke our love.

We ate and chided each other with a shove.
