Devious cords and wires slither toward me,
Investigating my feet with a caress like a feather,
Sending electric kisses as they begin to tether,
Though all I can see is the TV in front of me.
Recharging the TV from the depths of my soul,
A bittersweet exchange between us both,
Currents of electricity race to and fro,
Towering arcs between technology and bones.
I have so much that I need to do,
Only, I really shouldn’t leave right now,
Not when my TV needs me too.
