oh, saint hues please grant me divine optics,

one neon day, that's what I'm praying for.

shadows even are polychromatic

in this more vibrant heaven i'd explore.

the common butterfly of bottled blue

its chrysalis gifts powers of truest sights;

humbling all tints our kind has ever brewed,

beyond infinite ultraviolet lights.

before the trauma that sundered this soul,

wishes held within fit known human glows.

then decades passed no safe homes just foxholes,

and so my longing's spectrum pales all rainbows.

in liberating from tragic patterns

gradients of ecstasy must be born.

lost hearts are called to prismatic lanterns.

no greyscale lands stark shades will I mourn.

affixing my focus i'll weave odd hope

imbued of dream grand in kaleidoscope .

surreal poetry
