Michael, Beloved of God,

the politics of rage--brilliant though you are, oh yes!--

is just a good beginning for all good change,

good trouble that we create together--

for all of us who deeply love planet Earth.

Let us look to our mentors—

Elijah and John--

Martin,

Mahatma,

and then go way back, even to Jesus, the greatest troublemaker of them all.

Who, then am i (I), to preach at a preacher so fine as yourself?

“It’s just me,” my mother-in-law used to say when she called.

Who am i (I) but a ridiculous little failure?

There is this story about the two wolves,

and which one of them

you feed.

What do You see when you look at me, Jesus?

A little old white lady--

humble and

strong as anything

and in love with MYSELF—

that is, on a good day, when

I have gone about the critically necessary business

of Forgiving my grievances--

of Forgiving Me.
