Tears of Defeat

The argument started foolishly, words misread and innuendo deflected.

His spoke vehemently reproachful, while replies further left bitter regression.

Futile implications deserted honest interpretation, and

communication failed most miserably.

When the storm passed, and the thunder relaxed; silence began it's reverie.

Tears welled and seeped, as the dagger of impotence sunk deeper.

Rain filled the heart and soul because words are not always enough, nor emotion carry aloft.

As eyes fade and quick wit grows arid;

words lose meaning and must transform.

Nothing says I love as much as a hug.

Tears of defeat against a world of which

the heart grows ever weary.
