Albert Einstein once said “ If you want to make your child intelligent read him fairy tales, if you want to make him more intelligent read him more fairy tales “

By this quote what Einstein meant was to read as many books a possible to your child. But what if the book is not interesting? What if the story which you are reading doesn’t amaze your child? What if it doesn’t help you make your child sit for reading? You might feel dishearten, sad and disappointed.

To overcome and avoid that feeling of disappointment there are few tricks and tips to become a great story teller ,the one who can make your child sit till the end of a story.

Expression and voice Modulation.

If you are narrating a story of certain character for example a monkey, you should sound like one to make it realistic. Reflect the expressions of his mood on your face so that the one who is listening to you can relate to it.

Use of Props.

Simple narration can interest the listener depending upon story but to hold on to their interest take a cut out of the character ask your child to colour it and then use it. It will definitely help you. And yes of-course the same can be used for future.

Include music , song and rhymes.

Your character not only has a specific look but also the sound, usage of rhymes relating to a story will help you keep your child glued to it.

A great storyteller is the one who keeps his audience hooked to him from the rise of the curtain till they are dropped.
