"Slow Down" Tim Be Told

❤️

Sitting here

in my quiet place

under the trees

it's chilly this morning

with a gentle breeze

the sun is beaming

light

warmth

hope

renewal

what if today is my last?

would I feel like I lived it?

did I change what I could

and accept what I could not change?

how often do we rush and run

right past ourselves in the process?

when is the last time you found

a quiet spot outside and just listened

tuned out the world's noise

and tuned into God's creation?

hear the birds banter

a cricket singing an aria

see a breeze cajole the leaves

into a flirty dance

see a dove fly by with twigs in its beak

a caterpillar passing by

smell the earth

and how every facet is there

to connect another facet to

create a prismatic gem

feel tiny in its vastness in a

" He made this for me"

" He made me for this"

kind of way

the sun could just rise and set

as a yellow ball in the sky

but it doesn't

He uses it to paint the heavens

for our eyes to behold in

glorious golds

opulent oranges

ravishing reds

in swirls and lines

no two the same

the clouds sculpted

and set in motion

take the time to

make the time

to make each moment count

as you survey your world

with new eyes

start seeing God

in everything because

He is

and start living like

your life depends on it because

it does

Slow down.

Enjoy the journey.
