Take a Number

You've met her, the girl who hates ALL MEN

Because of the ONE GUY

Who broke her heart.

Or maybe you haven't met her

So much as you have been her.

Just in case you don't understand it

Allow me to explain...

Imagine all the men she has ever met

Are on a list...

Friends, coworkers, classmates

Acquaintances, crushes, ex's and let's say

For the sake of argument,

She knows about hundred males.

If every number on the list had a name beside it

And they were listed twenty-five to a page,

That would be four crisp pages.

But 0f course

That's NOT how it is

Not every number has a name.

Some numbers are skipped

To be filled in later.

As a matter of fact

Even though she may have met a hundred men

Her list

Probably goes

From one to two-hundred fifty.

Anyone on the list after about two hundred

Is a complete jerk

And the guy she loves

Well, he is on page one

All by himself.

Yes, gentlemen that is how it works

When she's in love with him

The next guy on the list

Isn't even on the same page

He's number 1 and the next guy is number 33.

The problem comes in when HE breaks her heart.

Now you might think what happens

Is that the name at number one

Gets reassigned to number two-hundred

Or

If it was really bad

Two Hundred Fifty-One.

This would logically allow the next guy down

To move up on the list...but NO!

That's not how the list works.

Because this is not about logic

It is about love.

And she still loves him

which means

He's still a full page ahead

Of any other man on the planet.

Now you are starting

To see the picture more clearly

the order DOES NOT change instantly.

So if you were number thirty-five on her list

And he screws up

Congratulations

He is now 210 and you are 245...

And all the numbers from 1 to 209

Will remain vacant until

The hurt begins to subside.

Trust me

The list will eventually get rearranged and

He will be assigned his place

Based on the hero or zero that he truly is...

But in the meantime...

She will post things on her Facebook like

"Boys are stupid...throw rock at them!"

And she and her best gal pals will engage in

Some serious "male bashing" conversations.

Just keep in mind men...it's not really about you...

It's about HIM.

Be patient

Be kind

Don't do anything stupid.

You won't be on page 10 forever...

When the tears stop falling

She will see things a little more clearly...

Including you for the great guys you really are.
