Take a look

Take a look around you, did you ever stop to look

Did you ever realise.. the beauty of a brook

Have you looked between the boughs, of the twisted trees

Have you ever contemplated, little honey bees

Have you ever lay back staring, at the clouds up in the skies

Have you ever looked at things with out those life stressed eyes

Take a little pebble, sparkling on the shore

Look at it a first time, then look at it some more

Take a look at wood bark, the way it’s patterned like sun dried mud

Take a simple pine cone, shaped like a flower bud

Watch the glitter of the waves, as they start to dance and sing

See the halo of the moon, shaped just like a ring

Stop and see the beauty of all that nature’s made

Go and lay down in a field or picnic in a glade

Look at every rain drop, colours reflect within

Hear the different chorus’s of birds when they do sing

The beauty’s all around us, at night and in the day

Take a breath, and have a look, just in another way

The buzzing bees, the babbling brooks and all mentioned above

They fill the heart with pleasures, akin to feeling love
