I did not know what love was, until I awoke with you in my heart and in my head

I did not know, until I cried every night

I only wished for three more seconds of your presence for the rest of time

One more hug was all I wanted

If I could not live with your hand in mine

I wanted to live with your untainted memory

And now I realize I do not need someone to give my heart to

What the hell was I thinking?

How can I breathe when you walk away with my heart in your hands?

How could you tell me you love me and deny us the opportunity to nourish it?

They say that eyes are windows to the soul

If you can see me, promise you'll miss me

Cross my heart you'll always have mine
