On the socioeconomics of being humane
The socioeconomics of humanness lies in the beauty of balancing the aspects of togetherness and isolation. In a world where life coincides with the duality of forces, oscillating between the forces of light and dark, beauty and hate, love and hatred, birth and death, humans are the most endearing and detrimental beings ever to exist. The prowess of intellect and communication, with the stellar mind that created the strides of evolution and lapses of civilization, is undeniably the most striking aspect of what makes humans the most resilient beings of them all.

Kaliyug!
What has happened to the society That it is presenting even evils as good. What has happened to our own people Those who are our own people are fighting with their own people. What has happened to man That he is feeling himself in "I". What has happened to human nature That he is always right and wronging others. What has happened to religion and science That he is always attacking each other. Now people go around talking on the streets Maybe it is not possible to stop this now. People ask each other what is going on Some remain silent and some say Kaliyug is going on.

What is a Friend?
What is a Friend? In the tapestry of life, threads interlace, A bond beyond words, a warm embrace. A friend is a mirror, reflecting the soul, In laughter and sorrow, they make us whole. Through storms of despair and moments of cheer, They walk by our side, always near. In silence, they listen, with hearts open wide, A shoulder to lean on, a trusted guide. With secrets shared under starlit skies, Their presence brings comfort, like the sun's rise. In joy, they celebrate, in pain, they console, A friend is a treasure, a heart's true goal. Through the ups and downs, the twists of fate, A friend is the love that will never abate. In the journey of life, hand in hand we stand, For in the embrace of friendship, we find our true land. So cherish the moments, both big and small, For a friend is a blessing, the greatest gift of all. In the garden of life, they bloom and they grow, A bond that is timeless, in our hearts, they glow.

A Holiday, A Holiday, And The First One Of The Year. Content Warning.
Introduction This is for Laura Pruett's "Holidays? Holy Days? Pen It To Win It!" challenge that you can read about here: The first thing that came to mind for this Challenge was Fairport Convention's song "Matty Groves". I was going to do a story, but then I thought why not try a villanelle? Three holidays and a story of a fateful love affair, Lady Donald fancying an affair with your Matty Groves. There are lots of holidays around the turn of the year so I think I stand a chance.
