LOVE WENT SOUR The moon turned cold, You closed the door, The heart you held, Lay on the floor. The roses died, The red turned black, You took your love, And gave none back.

NO ONE IN MY LIFE LIKE YOU No one came close, No one felt right, No one held me, All through the night. No one could see, Behind my smile, No one would stay, That extra while.
NOTHING LEFT EXCEPT YESTERDAY’S GHOSTS The house still knows your footsteps, the floorboards speak at night, your shadow passes through the hall then disappears from sight.

THE REJECTION My mother died that winter, I didn’t understand, why people said be strong now, or tried to hold my hand.
AFTER LIFE AND PAIN CAME DEATH The baby grew through summer rain, then stood upon her own, she filled the rooms with laughter before she left our home.
WE MADE LOVE NAKED IN THE RAIN We made love naked in the rain, beneath a trembling sky, the thunder rolled above our heads as clouds went drifting by.
AND THE RAIN PISSED DOWN You left me at the bus stop with a suitcase and a lie, you said, “It isn’t working,” then would not meet my eye.
YOU LEFT ME FROZEN, COLDER THAN ICE You left me frozen, colder than ice, with winter in my veins, your final words became the frost that settled on my pain.

ROMANCE Romance is not expensive It doesn’t need a ring Sometimes a chair beside you Can mean almost everything A table set for two hearts Beneath a silver moon Two glasses left there waiting For someone coming soon
WITHOUT BELIEF Without belief words are empty With no solid ground nothing stands Hope needs somewhere to grow Love needs more than hands
What if we could learn to live in harmony And not have that obsession about “only me” What if man could be kind to others
