An ode to Mother Nature; poems that take their inspiration from the great outdoors.
Impossible Love. Top Story - April 2025.
We knew the end from the beginning, It was no happy ever after, It was written in pain; it was hurt and tears, Yet we walked into it, regardless, Maybe that’s what made it more thrilling, It was delicate and worth it. Somewhere deep down, we hoped, We hoped that if we poured enough love, It would be enough to break the restraints, Make the obstacles disappear and change our fate. We should create great memories, at least, Hold unto hope the universe would fall in love with us, Why should we let go of our love, so beautiful, An imperfect match, yet we fit so perfectly, A match made in heaven, Why should we pass up this opportunity? A love, true love, in its purest form, Just because it won’t last a lifetime Forever should take care of itself, I’ll accept this gift called present, Wholeheartedly with no regrets, Because you’re in it. Though I wonder, What it would have been like, If I had met you before, Before the obstacles, now between us, Before the one threat to our forever, Would we be a match? Would we have this connection? Na, I doubt so, Probably not. It’s the fire and ice, we experienced, That molded us into what we are, It’s our past that produced this beautiful version, Yet still, this same past stands in our way. What now? I would rewrite our love if I could, Make it last till eternity, But it’s a journey for two, I would pray to Mother Nature, Hope she does so for two, Because I want it and you want it too, But you won’t fight for it. Why, why won’t you fight for it, Oh my haven, my king, my love, What restrictions, restrain you? Too many hearts involved, Too many to be broken, If peradventure, you venture, It’s a path filled with thorns, too many cries. You hope you can find this again, What we have, with someone else, But it is known, that it is impossible, It is a once in a lifetime occurrence, So you settle for a life of simplicity, You protect their hearts and hurt yours. I would tear down the world to be with you, But I couldn’t, wouldn’t force myself on you, It’s a choice you have to make, Fortunately!, or not, You already decided. In my next life, I’ll wait for you, Because now I know better, I’ll go through life but I’ll, I’ll prevent all the obstacles, I’ll take only the lessons. I promise you baby, You’ll still get this same version of me, Only, without the obstacles, But is there really a second life? I wish, I could convince you to elope, Run away with me my love, Let’s build a new world, our world, Where is that stubborn heart? Defiant man, that goes for what he wants? He’s passed that stage now, He no longer thinks of himself alone. We decided to hold hands instead, And walk down this lonely path, At these trying times in our lives, Because I needed someone, And you needed someone too. If we end up holding hands forever, That would be amazing, But if we let go of each other’s hands, That would be painfully amazing, Because regardless, we wouldn’t forget, We couldn’t forget the memories. How it was just us against the world, How we held each other, warmed each other, When it was cold and scary. How we lit each other’s fire, And came out, strong and victorious. We would forever be in each other’s hearts, A love so beautiful, a strong alliance, A love impossible, fleeting love. It ended, almost as soon as it began. First it was our spring, our love blossomed, Then came summer, the heat, the obstacles and restrictions, Yet we stood unfazed, our love constant, consistent, Then came autumn, our love stopped blooming, And now its winter, it’s time to let go, This is where our love ends. Not because it’s what I want, Neither is it your wish, But you chose a simple life, And your happiness matters to me, I’ll let you go, even though it breaks me, I’ll preserve and cherish, Our memories forever.

Written Tears
I waited for you, Like the sky waits for stars at dusk, Like the shore waits before the tide’s return, Like a promise lingers, forgotten in the cold, But you never came. You said you were coming, So i sat in the dark silence, Listening to the clock tick, Each minute heavier than last, Until the time itself felt like a cruel joke, Laughing at my foolish hope. Was there ever a plan? Or was I dreaming alone? Filling the hollow spaces of your indifference, With the warmth of my own devotion, Sewing meaning into the void, Pretending this love was real. I hate this feeling, I hate the yearning that knots itself inside me, Hate knowing deep down, i would wait again, Even knowing you won’t show up, I hate the emptiness you leave behind, The way my heart still holds space for you, Even when you give me nothing. But what i hate most, Is that despite it all, I still can't hate you, One look at your face and my anger unravels, One sound of your voice, and I forget, Why i was displeased, How did I let you hold so much power? And why God, why can’t I take it back? Why do we do this? Why do our bodies revolt against us? Why does our heart betray us? Why do we make excuses for the ones who hurt us? Why can’t we refuse ill-treatment, The way we refuse things we don't want, Why does love make us so weak? You left me waiting, And still, i search for reasons to forgive, Still, i question myself instead of questioning you, Maybe something came up, Maybe i expected too much, Maybe i should shrink myself down, Make my needs smaller, Make my heart quieter. But why? Why should basic kindness feel like a privilege, When it should be the bare minimum? Why do I gather crumbs and call it a feast? Why do I get excited over scraps? Over a message, a promise, a maybe, When i should be demanding certainty? We settle, We fold ourselves into spaces they leave behind, Erasing our edges to make love easier for them to hold. Until we no longer recognize ourselves. Until we are standing in the ruins, Of a love we built alone, Wondering where we went wrong. I waited for you, And in that waiting i lost myself piece by piece, But maybe this is the moment i stop, Maybe this is the moment i remember That love is not meant to leave me wailing, Doubting, aching, disappearing. Maybe the real question, Is not why you didn’t show up, But why i sat there waiting, Why i trusted you would.

The Pulse of her being
She feels it before she wakes, the quiet weight in her bones, The whisper of something shifting beneath her skin. The world presses closer, its breath warm against her neck. She stirs, stretching her limbs like roots reaching for water, only to find the ground unsteady beneath her.

Echoes of the Road
"Echoes of the Road" Got a spark, a sudden vibe, Friends and laughter, hearts alive. Packed our dreams in travel bags, Chasing sunsets, waving flags. No fishing lines or ocean tide, We chose the land where kings reside. Where stories carved in ancient stone, Remind us we’re not here alone. We're riding echoes down the road, Through ancient hearts and tales untold. We dance, we play, we laugh, we sing, In lands that make our spirits swing. From stars above to sands below, We carry dreams wherever we go. Night falls soft with songs and rhyme, Bonfires crackle, beating time. Voices rising in the air, Magic moments everywhere. Strangers meet and turn to friends, From distant worlds, our stories blend. We share our soul, they share their own, In this great world, we're not alone. We're riding echoes down the road, Through ancient hearts and tales untold. We dance, we play, we laugh, we sing, In lands that make our spirits swing. From stars above to sands below, We carry dreams wherever we go. Moonlit nights and desert breeze, Memories carved in times like these. We came as few, we leave as more— With open hearts and dreams to soar. We're riding echoes down the road, Where history and magic flowed. We’re not just travelers on our way— We’re souls who chose to truly stay. From stars above to sands below, We carry love wherever we go.
