the field keeps their names, every leaf a syllable spoken into earth

gathered by the wind, ancestral voices circle, then vanish in dusk
beneath the oak’s crown, prayers descend in golden rain, folded into roots
a leaf halts midair, between worlds it lingers long— the hush of choosing
scarlet embers fade, yet each flutter marks a soul passing into light
it’s over Haiku Morning came to soon I knew that it ended us no more me and you

threshold of branches, one by one the spirits fall— earth receives their song
veins lit with sunset, a leaf drifts into silence, returning to fire
amber souls departing, each leaf a whispered crossing— the ground opens wide
After autumn’s end, Our connection breaks free. We float to new life.
