Acritochromacy
Here's a link to this fun challenge:" Here's my entry: Acritochromacy: color blindness My Connection: I have lived with two forms of this condition my entire life. I was born with the first, and it's only partial. I'm red/green color blind, which isn't exactly what people tend to think it is, at least in my case. I've adapted, and it works to my advantage in a weird way. The second type is the product of my early childhood, in a small, Arizona border town with a wonderful mix of skin colors. As children, it was the last thing that stood out about our friends, although we talked frankly to each other about it, as kids do. I'm fortunate and grateful to have learned that kind of color blindness.

A Testament to the Human Spirit
I never regret being nice to anybody, even if I wrong myself by misjudging the person, even if I am let down, even if I am stuck into a wall, it is because I am nice to you, it does not mean therefore how nice are you, just because I am nice.

Antelucan
Antelucan - the time before dawn and daylight My Connection - Many people will already know this, but I have trouble sleeping and often I am awake when it's still dark and see the sunrise and dawn. I had not heard of this word before researching for this challenge, but love that there is a word for this period of time that so often is a big part of my day. Often my wife, Ruth, who doesn't sleep well either, will be up then. While we may not have the deepest of conversations or do anything significant and I would much rather we slept well, I appreciate those hours together when it's just us before our boys are awake and before the day starts. Everything is so quiet in those times before the dawn - peaceful and beautiful.
