Supposedly – A blank slate
Intentionally fashioned
Purposely created
🎭
A canvas
On which to paint
Ideals
Carry out
Ideas
🎭
If the absence was complete
I wouldn’t have needed
So many
Shiny coats of lacquer
To cover my shame and
Fill in the
Blanks
🎭
I wouldn’t have
A cracked mask
In place
Of the out-of-control face
Deemed an irredeemable
Disgrace
Seen as twisted and
Distracting from the
Points driven race
🎭
My voice sent to the
Fiery pits of
Shrill
Sentenced to life
Behind bars of social grace
🎭
Set free on grounds of
Incurable insanity
Heads shaking
In a shower of sighs
There’s nothing
To be done
🎭
I was born to
suffer born to
The life of the other
Because I ask too many
Questions and
Question too many
