SWEET TWEETS
My birds are slightly crazy,
They tweet from dawn till night,
One thinks she is a diamond,
And one is scared of flight.
One fell in love on Monday,
By Tuesday changed her mind,
She sent his heart by pigeon post,
But left his beak behind.
Two birds began romancing,
Upon a purple tree,
One tweeted, “You’re my darling,”
The other shouted, “ME?”
A blue bird stole a love heart,
And hid it in her nest,
She said, “I’ll keep the silly thing,
It matches with my chest.”
One bird believes she’s famous,
She poses all the day,
She signs her name on feathers,
Then gives the things away.
Another wears a gemstone,
And swears that she’s a queen,
She bosses all the other birds,
The maddest ever seen.
At midnight they hold meetings,
Where nobody knows why,
They vote on who should own the moon,
Then argue with the sky.
So if you hear strange tweeting,
Don’t think you’ve lost your head,
My crazy birds are falling love,
And tweeting it instead.
