An ode to my “secret admirer”

I know you’re there. You can see me. You watch me in the distance.

Hoping you can come consume me in an instant.

Is anything out of place? Not that I can see.

In the background there you are and steady watching me.

Eyes like needles. I feel you poking at my soul.

You never fold or ever quit because I am the goal.

In pursuit of me uptown you’re moving reckless.

I’m on your checklist. You’re breathless for my precious essence.

Why is it hard to get away from you? Apprehend is what you came to do.

What lies here is loud and clear that it ain’t for you.

Would you stop for a second to let me tell you something?

I guess you won’t. Not obtaining me is worse than nothing.

You want me. I want you to keep wanting me.

I feel a joyous sickened bliss knowing that you’re haunting me.

From far away I can hear your very muddled voice.

You sense I get a kick out of being your drug of choice.

You’re the sky watcher of an ever active street walker.

You breathe harder at the thought of me harder.

Oh the thoughts in your head of being my sweet stalker.
