Sweet Smelling Me
I walk through the world in a cloud,
Sugar on skin, a secret treat,
Vanilla sighs and candy thoughts,
The scent of something not quite sweet.
They say I smell of dreams and spice,
Of petals crushed in twilight air,
A mix of soft and something wild,
A trace of mischief hidden there.
I wear the light and shadow both,
Perfume that clings like whispered sin,
A little strange, a little bright,
A story breathing on my skin.
They stop and turn when I drift by,
Unsure if they should smile or flee,
For something kind but slightly odd,
Lingers softly after me.
And when the moon begins to fade,
My scent still hums upon the breeze,
Sweet smelling me, both dark and kind,
A mystery no one dares to tease.
