Sweet Scents

In the early morning as the darkness begins to turn to light,

She awakens to the smell of coffee brewing oh so right.

The aroma fills the room as she stretches and yawns,

She knows her day will be great with caffeine at dawn.

She sips on her cup as she takes in the view,

The sky turning colors of orange and blue.

She smiles to herself, feeling grateful and free,

For this peaceful moment and this cup of coffee.

The warmth of the mug and the taste on her tongue,

Makes her heart sing and her mind become young.

She sips it slowly as the world comes alive,

A new day beginning and the possibilities thrive.

And as the sun rises and the day takes hold,

She'll face it head on with her coffee so bold.

For with every sip and every rhyme,

She knows this moment was worth the time.
