I never found a better way

To cook sweet 'tater any day

Than bake it in an oven hot

You do not need to add a lot

Just split the tuber

Knob of butter

Grind black pepper

Nothing better

A taste of heaven locked within

The 'tater’s craggy outer skin

Some say a curry sauce enhances

This humble veggy's flavour chances

I say no

Best not to smother

Soft sweet delicious

Ipomoea batatas
