'The glory of my presence'...

Each day without question he arises and sets upon his task…

He is intent and never loses focus on the course he is traveling

or his final destination

I watch him as he moves with quiet determination

along the path outside my room…

As he passes nothing escapes the glory of his presence…

Blood red turns to fuchsia…

Bottle green to lime…

All that is craves for his attention and rises to greet him

He smiles upon me exposing all my imperfections…

I look again and they start to dissipate,

for it seems the more that I am with him…

the less that they become...

I close my eyes and yet still I sense his presence…

His radiant warmth envelops me

and permeates my very core

All that is suckles on his energy

And… repays him …

with a plethora of offerings

His is a joyous existence and he beckons me to join him…

as he basks upon rice fields …

and dances upon rippling water

At the end of the day…

upon reaching his final destination…

he rejoices in his achievement with a display

of such unequivocal beauty, that…

nothing around him can escape

being overcome by his golden hue…

At night we both go our own way,

till morning brings him to me once again…

I awake with him whispering in my ear,

of all the good things yet to come…

He tells me that darkness,

as all things…

is transitory

He assures me that without darkness,

there would be no measure by which we can fully appreciate

the beauty of color and light

He promises me anew…

that there will be no night so long…

that morning shall not take its place…

He laughs in celebration…

pleased with his accomplishment,

in the knowledge that I have realized …

that nothing …

or no one …

shall ever again escape…

The Glory of My Presence….
