Apocalypse

Why is it that we are so obsessed with survival?

Has intelligence really brought us so far from being tribal?

Or are we still only driven by things that are primal?

Nothing survives forever we know this.

Not even mutation can fight what our end is.

Yet, still we operate on one single premise.

Survival at all cost cry vessels who contain “reason”.

But they don’t seem to see that even centuries are just a season.

Control over free will eventually results in treason.

The place we’ve called home since the birth of our kind

Will turn on us to save herself and leave us behind.

Who could blame her? We obviously have poisonous minds.

What type of creature could be so conceited?

As to think he’d be the exception to being defeated

How childish we are to believe we could beat it

Do you think you could find happiness without control?

If the creator himself came down through the hole

That we tore in our shield when we abandoned our souls.

Fleeing to space from the place that was designed for us

With machines and technology controlled by the merciless.

But they’ll never get far. They are too plagued by hubris.

How did titles, intoxication and jewelry

Win over community and love, what foolery!

I hope you had fun with all your artillery.

There’s a reason that nothing goes on forever

Even intelligence has become a hopeless endeavor

Surely Yggdrasil ties with us will soon be severed.
