A child heart screams with heartbreak
Venom hisses through clenched teeth
Familiar black eyes stare back in craze
Turn quickly, gentle feet
A wonderful day for wicked tempers
Melancholy not felt before
He taught an important a lesson
Through daughter’s love he tore
No room for bravery now,
acknowledge your defeat
For if you test the monster
He will surely not retreat
A baby face tears full with grief,
Can’t simply hold them all
Tears spilling quick, yes much too quick
Much quicker than they fall
Suppression, a great tool,
Until resurfaced late in life
It sits and waits, and burrows deep
For moments just alike
