Sunsets are for sharing

What do you say

When your best guess

Is based on gut feeling

And missed sunsets

The kind that fall like perfume

And should be shared

Strands of light across the treetops

And in their hair

Delicate as webs

The settled, still air

should be listened to together, loved

Like a song, the words so painfully real you wish they were true

Had arms to pull you close,

Somewhere they hold you safe, in secret

Maybe it is all imagination

But you swear you heard your name

Faithful you look beyond the edges of the world

Unable to get it right this time

About the Creator

Elsa Michaela | @surfthought

When you hear a song

One that stops you in your tracks

That seems spoken from your own mind

Do you listen and listen again?

Follow its streams until a tide,

Inside you

Rushes to fill in the small hollow parts

…Yeah, me too
